Is There a Black Middle Class in Schools?
In the eighties, when u d c was formed. The only route to the professional class was through a teaching degree. It's intensely racialized with largely white m teachers dealing with largely black and latino am students. i would feel comfortable sending my daughter to the school that to boyse in the book, because it's a good school. But it was a nice place where people really were trying.
