Can I Own a Restricted Firearm?

There is no charter protection for gun ownership in Canada. The courts have been really explicit and very clear on that matter. In 1993, a Supreme Court justice said Canadians, unlike Americans, do not have a constitutional right to bear arms. This idea of the 'right to bear arms' has fallen out of favor after 19th century. But it hasn't stopped some people from trying to claim this rights through natural law.
