The Importance of Identity in Preaching

This week I've been talking with Stephen Verde about what I felt like God was wanting me to say today. A couple days later he came from upstairs and he said, babe, you are not going to believe what I just read. He showed me this verse in first Chronicles and I'm telling you my heart leapt. Neither of us had ever seen this verse before. We're jumping ahead to the end of David's life. In this passage, David is giving one of his final speeches to Israel as their king. He turns to Solomon and he gives him this charge to build the temple. Be strong and do the work.
