Stick Hado, the Military Medal, Was the Only One That Really Mattered to Him.
Strycht was the first person from his regiment to be recommissioned soon after getting back from dunkirk. He went as a major to tunisia with the first army early in 19 forty three. This was in that difficult time just after the battle of britain, when we were beginning to have to shake ourselves up again and become a modern army. So they needed people like strick. Of all his decorations, and he had a number of others by then, it was the only one that really, really mattered to him. And to the day, he died.
