In researching procrastination, it's become clear that it's a lot more of an emotional issue than a practical one. If you're continuing to put something off, your brain's best reward in inverted commes is the relief associated with not doing that thing. The relief of avoiding the issue is the best outcome your brain can figure out and muster. So when i look at the parcels i need to send, i procrastinate because i allow the grumpy woman at the post office,. who makes my experience of going to the post office pretty crappy. I allow that to oversh what i imagine my friend's reactions will be when they receive what i'm sending to them. And so
