The riots also inflamed racism and anti-Semitism more generally. The American Legion in Westchester County established its own un-American activities committee in 1952. Nobody was ever prosecuted for the violence or destruction of these two events. Paul Robeson and 26 others did file a $2 million civil suit against Westchester County but that was eventually dismissed.
