The Importance of Tolerance in Marxism

In Brazilian critical theory we have a tradition that kind of, you know, dependence theory has this whole development on how center and periphery relate. The idea is that well, the thesis of imperialism was the one where the center was expanding towards the periphery. Low and behold, the 70s in Europe and France, society is just a crumble. And now the peripheral form of capitalism is going to go towards the center. This sort of advance of the peripheral towards the center finds a kind of tipping point when certain patterns of accumulation are no longer possible or there's any intellectual ideals left. Suddenly you get this kind of really kind of increase of the idea that you are the most political in your thinking when
