With Kant, we saw that there was the question of how does the subject relate to the object. Hegel comes up with the solution that everything is really, in some sense, one. So he has this idea of this geist, this world spirit that underlies all things and through which the world develops. All right, then we have another movement that is influential on a lot of structuralists, as well as post-structuralists: Freudian psychoanalysis.
