I wonder if this was somehow beneath the surface and not realized by everybody. You had a lot of neocons who were all fully on board for the cold war, but then you had pat buchanan on board for it. Did they realize that they're two different? Ne i think they did. I think it was apparent tho buchanan by then. The united states no longer stood for christianity or the right. It represented a much more radically leftis society than the communist societies we defeated.
