There is a sense that even in the global north, we're not immune to this. Losses and damages due to impacts of human induced climate change are now visible. You just have to watch your television screen every day and you'll see a new one happening somewhere in the world. And it's going to get worse, by the way. So it's not going to get better for the near term at least. In the long run, we can help stop it getting very bad. But bad is locked in. It's going toget worse. And so we have to deal with it.
