What Is the Octet Rule in Chemistry?

The octet rule in chemistry is the idea that atoms tend to fill their outer shells if you haven't studied chemistry in a long time that may be something that you still remember because it's probably drummed into you or maybe you remember nothing. If you start from the fundamental principles of how the universe works and build it up in little stages so you start phenomenologically and you build mechanistically then you actually have a proper and good understanding of chemistry, everything makes sense. So this is my little talk about why what I think could be better in the way that people teach and learn chemistry and mathematics in the UK.
