Colonel Blanchard sends a team to investigate the site and they're led by three guys Captain Jesse Marcel remember that name. He's with a guy named Sheridan Cabut and William Rickett so these three guys meet with this rancher Mac Brazel and they go out and they visit the crash site with him. According to I believe it's Jesse Marcel's testimony this debris field was about three quarters of a mile long and 300 feet wide but there was a huge gouge in the ground that was 500 feet long.
