The Cassia Spiring
American author Christopher Turner spent 25 years working for the CIA. After retirement, he wrote about the Cassia spy ring. He met an Austrian academic named Siegfried Bayer who shared his fascination with the period. These are civilians without any support, resources or education in the art of espionage. Their aim? To gather information to bolster the resistance and communicate to the Allies their willingness to fight the Nazis.
