Is Abram Justified by Works?

A question about a weird verse in Genesis chapter 15. It seems that James two is pointing to Genesis 15, six as proof that Abram was justified by his works. Jim: What would we say about Abram if he hadn't offered up Isaac? And I think what this brings out is the way that the act, the work is really the evidence of faith.
