The Dental Work of Gilles Gilles
Gillies was able to achieve more because of this really collaborative approach. He had artists, he had dental surgeons, he had radiographers. Everybody was working on the reconstruction of a human face. And that boded well, because it's a creative process as well as a medical process. I could tell you how people tried to save people's lives in the past from a pugty. But nowadays a lot of the dental work can be implanted inside the face. They couldn't do that back then. So it was m external structures that were being built around the jaw to hold it in place.
