Why Do Crickets Chirp?
Some crickets have been known to be used as thermometers so you can actually tell what the temperature is outside with them. The chirping comes from their wings and it's mostly at night time when you hear them that are doing that. They're either telling other males that hey this is my territory you probably shouldn't come over here or they're searching for a female so they can start a family. And so they just chirp andChirp and chirp advertising themselves until a female will come over.
