I've done a few interviews over the years with MicroCap management teams claiming that their holding company is the next Berkshire or a mini-Berkshire, the goal being to build the next multi-billion dollar conglomerate. I say this slightly in jest because I'm not sure how many of those companies are still around, however, it inspired my conversation with Carter today because he focuses on finding quality conglomerates, but also serial acquirers as a whole.
