Liz Fair came from nowhere and started making music. She didn't like be like, Oh, I'm gonna sign the capital. This is just the way the cards played out. It's not like she signed to a major. And you have to imagine capital has some push around what they're wanting out of her. Some really formulaic and traditional pop songs do sort of require an actually good singing voice,. which Liz Fair also doesn't really do.
