In the mid 60s, things start moving pretty quick in a lot of ways. The federal government really did start getting involved in loans and new ways as you already kind of flagged earlier. And it became pretty quick that this was not going to be self-perpetuating like they thought. This is before we have the amazing work that is really shown how the mortgage program worsened racial and gender inequalities.
