The Metaphor of John 6 and the Eucharist
Father Thomas Winandie, Capuchin Franciscan Fryer talks about John 6 and the Eucharist. He says that Jesus is really speaking as a metaphor when he says "this is my bread" Father Winandie: Most of my work over the past 30, 40 years has been on theological, doctrinal, philosophical issues. The Lord gave me a great love for scripture and I think now that I'm coming towards the end of my life, the love for scripture has now come to fruition.
