S n banegy was an anglo indian magistrate in the i c s. He passed up his departmental examinations and immediately received the pass of a first class magistrate. However, there was another candidate called one posford who was his senior as assistant magistrate. Posford failed, and banegy passed. The district magistrate did not like that banagy should have passed and that posford should have failed. Around this time, there was a controversy about a case.
