Are There Domain Specific Differences in Starting Early?
On average, individuals that end up being truly great at what they do start that activity later in life. The kid that starts playing baseball at eight or nine is going to be better than the kid that started playing baseball at five or six. In narrow skills, sometimes starting early can be beneficial. But whether we're talking about in sport or life, most of our skills aren't kind of that refined.
