John: My first gig out of college was actually for a smaller company where I worked for a couple of years in a small town in Idaho. But my family's from the Seattle area, and I always wanted to get closer to home. And so I started to look at job opportunities closer to home in the Seattle area and looked around and applied to Amazon. This was back in 2017. At that time, Amazon was just starting to become really the global juggernaut that it is now today - but wasn't quite there yet.
