The Miracles: The First Million Selling Single
The Miracles were the first act signed to Barry Gordy's Tamler label. The group had to start somewhere and even with a songwriter as gifted as Smoky Robinson leading them, they weren't above a gimmick. Bad Girl was the first miracle single to make the Billboard charts. It only reached number 93 on the Hot 100 in October of 1959.
