You spent a time back in d c. Think you helped run the russia desk. You got a master's degree, but ultimatelyyou ended up back in ukrane in a higha high a level post in the embassy. What was you what were your impressions of ukrane then? I really liked crane wh i went back, it was the beginning of civil society and a free press. And there was certainly corruption, although at that time, the us. Government was not focused on corruption in the way that i think we we are now.
