The Hussein Family
Liz Hussein is the daughter of a devout upper class Muslim from British India what's now Pakistan. Her grandfather came over here to Cambridge on a math scholarship and he fell in love with a working-class English woman called Olive Stowers. They lived an incredible lifestyle mixing with Mughal royalty Europeans independence freedom fighters, but things took a terrible turn when war broke out during their visit back home. Khazi Muhammad Hussein was cut off from his wife and his five sons including my friend Liz's father as they were trapped in Croids. He left Hyderabad and died in Lahore during the whole turmoil of Indian independence and the partition of India and it's never really been spoken about very
