The Secret of Good Comedy
I'm really interested if there are some things that are universally funny. Like somebody tripping over a binomistic like is that universally funny? I don't know what the answer to that is. There's no identifiable cultural difference in American and British humour it's much more to do with specific demographic groups. People from same kind of social class and class fraction in the States will laugh exactly the same stuff as people from the same kind of class fraction in Britain or vice versa. My favourite comedy show in Britain apart from what the two shows have made me laugh the most the past 20 years has been Two And A Half Men on BBC2 at 9pm tonight.
