The Common Threat to Finance

The common threat to it all is this scientific mindset, it seems, that you obviously applied in your medical career, but also in finance as well. There was a quote that I kept turning over in my mind from men by the name of Robert Kaplan, who's a historian. And he basically said that half of everything is geography and the other half is Shakespeare. It occurred to me that it's almost exactly the same thing as true about finance. We're not the independent thinkers we think we are. We are a lot more affected by everybody else around us than we would like to admit.
