Swords and Chariots in Late Bronze Age Wars
Late Bronze Age warfare was typically characterized by the use of war chariots and bows. By the 12th century however, the men depicted in the so called Sea People reliefs were armed quite differently. They carried slashing swords and javelins and wore heavy reinforced corsets as armor. These seaborn invaders represent a new type of military that would come to take over in the Iron Age. When armed with superior technology they became a terrifying menace.
