The Future of the Front Lines in Ukraine

Sometimes the fighting in Ukraine is compared to the trench warfare of World War I in Europe. And if that's the case, I'm curious whether that war did lasting damage to the present day. Large parts of the World War I battlefield still can't safely be farmed and they're just not worth farming. Well, there you go. Once you've released the reservoirs of artillery and hatred and also the dams doesn't seem like there's any good outcome, really.
