Is It a Casualty of Russian Air Force?
The lack of Russian attack helicopter sorties over the border after the very first few days seems to suggest a push to hold them over their own lines. The issue for the Russian air force is that they haven't been able to coordinate their different fleets together in large, complex strike packages. So it's this mutual denial that's led to the war being a very much a ground war so far and very much more dependent on infantry and mass artillery and UAVs rather than necessarily speaking to any kind of hitherto unknown truth about the nature of war from a Western perspective.
