The Vorangian Guard and the Christmas Ritual
tenth century there aren't any goths so it's probably talking about vorangians. The vorangian guard were the elite guard of the bison team emperor who were normally sourced from scandinavia or england. They wear masks and furs and that they you know march around the dinner table and and shout. This starts to resemble again some of the stuff we associate with christmas like everyone you know having fun in games and poems around the table.
