The Threat of a Boss

There has been a change in the past few years where the threat of a boycott has replaced a boycott. Now you basically can pretend to be the consumer of a product and not even change your behavior, but just imply that you will boycott them if they don't do what you want. The other side of this that I think people aren't seeing is there is pressure coming from this hedge fund called BlackRock. That doesn't make sense because doesn't he own just 1% of the company?
