The Battle of Messynia

For more than 300 years, the Spartans have dominated Laconia in the southeast of the Peloponnese. This southwestern region is called Messynia and has been essentially serfs to put it politely, slaves if you want to be frank. The Paminondus decides to make it one of the crowning achievements of his career to liberate Messynia. He finds a new city at the foot of Mount Ofthomi overlooking the Great Palmasos Valley in Messynia but the Spartiate nobility look on helplessly.
