How to Ask for What You Want

"When you ask someone just because like you're asking, you know, you want it. It's a little bit like swimming upstream," she says. "What you want instead is to think about what does that person already want and then help them get more of what it is that they want" The golden rule when it comes to influencing is 'don't do on to others how you want them to do' She advises people to reframes their request in terms of how it will help them get what they want.
