The Different Types of Compensation for Private Equity Funds
It depends on the strategy of the private equity fund and where they're hoping to add value, how much, how big of an operating team you're thinking of building, etc. In other cases, we've seen where it's typically like a really flat structure and you might have multiple operating people reporting into multiple deal partners that can be messy at times. But those are real flat structures, more common, I would say, than a hierarchical structure and operations.
