Is Hegel's Thought a Controversy?

Hegel was an atheist, and I think we have this prejudice that like to believe in God as it makes you, it's stupid. So if you're going to hold on to the Christianity thing, well, that kind of makes him an idiot because how could he have believed it? That would be Marx's solution. How do you redeem Hegel as a complex and worthwhile thinker? You just get rid of the Christianity stuff. You just cut it, you just cut it out. And I really think that that was the disaster. Because it's through Christianity that we see. The revealed religion is Christianity. It takes God as the absolute beyond. For most Christians today, it's not
