Denmark started its green transformation in the 1970s to become independent of fossil fuels. Canada has been producing oil since the 1960s, a lot of this oil is really high carbon and associated with it. We have an historical carbon debt and now as a ritual country, also the capacity to transition. The Tindil Report actually has a very big warning for Canada - that they must phase out oil production within 10 years.
