Housing Crisis
Councillor hardwick denies that we have a housing crisis. She basically uses every opportunity she can to deny that we need more housing at all. The only place that's basically legal to build an apartment is on top of an old apartment right? Apartments are banned on over 80 % of vancouver's residential land, which is, i think, pretty shocking for a city that's in a house and crisis. Staff were very clear, if that amendment had passed, it would have killed the entire brode de plan. Woud hav no choice but to go back to drawing board instead of drawing up new plans.
