The political arrangements of a planet are more fragile than we'd realized too. So for instance, a you have the worst drought in the history of what we used to call the fertile crescent, centred on syria. This is enough to help de stabilize the already despotic asod government and set off a brutal civil war. And those are breaking points that we reach before we reach absolute physical breaking points, probable. i think that really, going forward, an extraordinary amount of the work is going to be done, not by physical scientists, but by political scientists, by economists, by people who are reckoning with the mess that we've set in motion.
