Why Doesn't Pablo Have a Lawyer?
There's no guarantee that you have legal representation in emigration court. You are trying to make your case for asylum up against a government lawyer from ice who is essentially prosecuting the case against you. For pablo and some other folks in his situation, there's a greater urgency because they've been channelled into this fast track asylum process. Almost four and ten asylum seekers win asylum. But if you don't have a lawyer, nine and ten people are deported.
