Is the Library of Alexandria a Good Place to Start?
The amount of stuff we actually have is dwarfed by what we know we could have had, and apparently do not. The classical material that i feel most attached to is ancient epic,. That is to say, homer and somebody much less well known, but shouldn't be much less known, called hesiot. We have a great many fragments of early greek epic poetry from which we can understand something more about the e background. And for one of the better word post ground of the stories, in things like the iliad and the odyssey, but we have very few of these texts even close to and full.
