The Russian Diaspora in Estonia
Around 23% of Estonia's population is ethnically Russian rather than Estonian. The large presence of ethnic Russians across the Soviet Union is one of the legacies that the Russians left. It was not organic migration of the kind that we think of when we talk about Diaspora in other countries, it was really this incentivized relocation within the Soviet Union. How does Thailand get around the fact they are in direct geopolitical competition against a country with ties to nearly a quarter of their population?
