April 19, 1944, Lockheed constellation that epic plane design is flown cross country in seven hours by none other than Howard Hughes. On the way back from DC, he lands in Dayton and gives Orville right his last plane flight, 40 years after the first one at Kitty Hawk. The wingspan of the constellation is longer than the distance of his first flight, which is a remarkable fact. And he dies eight months later on January 30, 1948, having changed the world completely and forever.
