The ghost of Dr. Cutler appeared on his right side sitting on the seat next to him, saying nothing. He grabbed his whip and he whipped at the ghost and the ghost disappeared. The doctor went back, told his friends what had happened and his friends didn't believe him because the doctor was apparently a bit of a drinker. But he swore by it.
