The Role of Race in Discipline Gaps

There's something unique about the conditions in which sort of black students in particular in America yield these large gaps really across every dimension of school discipline, right. We know that for any given behavioral infraction black students are not only more likely to experience punishment, but the severity of the punishment that they experience is also worse than their white counterparts. And there's quite a bit of evidence on this point that racial biases actually play out in how discipline is needed, needed out in classrooms.
