Algorithmic Decision-Making - Is Any Linear Model Better Than Human Judgment?
Any linear model is better than human judgment. If you have a rule that says certain people can be served liquor or certain people are going to be eligible for certain benefits that will be my definition noise free. That will reduce random variable and that's an important way of reducing error with respect to the models. We forget that our algorithms are noiseless we forget to big advantage that they have over humans.
