CHAPTER

The Importance of Winter Sports in Norway

Most of our athletes have had pretty much the same developmental pathway that they started playing sports just for fun in the early years and especially winter sport athletes. I think there was a study showing that until early teens most of them just played sport because of it was really fun and made a quite late choice to be a dad. So yeah we do things maybe a little bit different so sport is just for fun  and it seems like that lays a foundation for later specializing in putting in all those hours with quality practice that is required. And of course we have a culture and climate that really appreciate winter sport I'm thinking of highland football, which has seen some great success recently.
