Peacekeeping Is a Very Important Institution
CNN's John Defterios says peacekeeping is a more important and consequential institution than we appreciate. He argues that while there are many failures, on balance, it's been quite successful as an institution. The UN ends up creating something like four missions on average every year during the 1990s. But again, it's a pretty successful institution and one that I think he was rightly proud to be part of.
