The Trouble With the Creed for Protestants
Many of my students are Baptists and that when they get to the part about the Holy Spirit, they say, what? For goodness, baptism is for the forgiveness of sins. It's right there in Acts chapter two,. Heidelberg Catechism enshrines within it the Apostles Creed. I wish we would focus on that because that's the stuff that feeds us instead of the stuff that divides us.
